  • What is Dr.Xu's wait time ?
Most non-urgent appointments are available within 2–4 weeks. To be seen sooner, you may be scheduled with Dr. Xu’s associate. If you prefer to see Dr. Xu specifically, please mention this when booking. If you feel an earlier appointment is needed, please speak with your referring doctor or nurse. They can assess the urgency and help expedite your referral.
  • How do I make an appointment with Dr. Xu?
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Sophia Xu, patients require a referral from a doctor or nurse practitioner. A new referral is necessary for each individual medical concern, or if the patient has not been seen by Dr. Xu in the past 24 months. The referring doctors can fax a letter to Dr. Xu's office at 905-825-9830.
  • What happens at the allergist appointment?
All patients are seen in person by Dr. Xu for the initial consultation. A physician assistant may contact the patient beforehand to gather information and ensure the appropriate tests are prepared. During the first visit, Dr. Xu will review the patient's medical history and perform a physical exam. Allergy testing is guided by the patient's symptoms and may be done the same day or at a follow-up visit. Test results help develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to the patient's needs. Virtual appointments are available for follow-up in certain cases, depending on the condition and care needs.
  • What should I bring to my visit?
Please bring a current list of all prescription and over-the-counter medications. Additional instructions may also be provided by Dr. Xu's office prior to the visit.
